Herbert - Hello, I wandered in here trying to understand unix while doing research on SCOC-Santa Cruz. Is this the kind of company that would benefit from the demise of microsoft by the attorney general? AFAIK, MSFT owns ~40% of SCO, so the pummeling of MSFT by DOJ wouldn't really be a good thing for them. SCO has got some haaard times ahead, IMO, because they bring much diffrerentiation to the table. They don't have apps, and they don't have gvery good performance. The one thing they do have going for them is that they run on x86 commodity h/w. Then again, so does Linux, and it's free for everyone, with source. -justinb
