The demand for Cholestrak will have to be evaluated over a period of several quarters by the retail merchants so they can correctly gauge how much to order. Since most of them greatly overordered the product last year when it was being marketed by J&J, the opposite happened this year when it was reintroduced. For example, I know that our local supermarket's drug department opted to go cautiously when ordering the product. What happened was that they ended up selling out and customers had to wait a couple of weeks until a new shipment got in. While the sales of Cholestrak will ebb and flow throughout the year, they really should not decline. It is really a great product (I've tried it myself) and there is lots of interest in the consumer market for it. The decline in the 3rd quarter is probably related more to supply being temporarily out of wack with demand. We'll see. Also, when cholesterol reducing drugs are approved for OTC sales, Cholestrak sales should get pulled along for the ride.

BTW, this discussion/investor group/thread on CMTR is getting more interesting, Wouldn't you say? Wish I had a crystal ball to see how Hp Chek will impact the bottom line at CMTR. Since it will be marketed with what is expected to be the world best selling drug Prilosec/Losec, I would expect very good results.
