PeakSoft Corporation (NASD:OTC-BB;PEAFF) and (ASE:PKT) today announced that it has finalized three strategic agreements to increase marketplace awareness and sell-through of its products and to streamline product fulfillment through the PeakSoft Web site (www.peak.com). PeakSoft is combining an Internet-based marketing promotion and state-of-the-art electronic- commerce product fulfillment systems to marketNetMagnet and PeakJet.
An agreement has been finalized for the marketing promotion with an international marketing and advertising corporation known as an industry leader at leveraging technology and media expertise to build online one-to-one relationships between brands and consumers. The corporation will be placing banner advertising throughout their advertising network on a revenue-sharing test basis beginning this month.
An agreement for e-commerce services was finalized with CyberSource, the leading Internet Commerce Provider. With CyberSource e-commerce technology, customers can instantly purchase these products at the PeakSoft Web site with assurance that all financial transactions are conducted securely. This secure transaction process provides PeakSoft with direct settlement for all online purchases from the banner advertising promotion and PeakSoft's other Internet marketing activities.
On March 1 1998, PeakSoft entered into its fourth bundling agreement with Macmillan Digital Publishing. PeakSoft's JetEffects will be bundled into Macmillan's new product entitled, "Web Construction Kit" with PeakSoft receiving a licencing fee for each unit sold. "Macmillan continues to bring high value authoring and performance kits to market. It is an excellent vehicle for Peak to create customers and additional revenue," stated Nick Vermeulen, vice-president of business development at PeakSoft. "Our agreements with these three corporations bring us strong partnerships with industry leaders in commerce, distribution and direct marketing. Combined with the powerful benefits associated with PeakSoft products, these agreements will maximize our revenue opportunity." There are no other material changes to announce at this time.
