Today's remarks by the CEO in my opinion were dumb! As a shareholder share price is my main concern. His comments not the financials cause this drop. Do you think SPYG shareholders don't know this already? All internet related stockholders should think long term. Here is the comments that I believe could have been left OUT! Colbeth cautioned that the company's accelerated focus on the Web-enabled device market may result in downward pressure on revenue and net income during fiscal 1997. "We are very serious about investing in this market," he said. "We are excited about the potential long-term opportunities it represents. However, as we step up investment in R&D, sales and marketing to build on our leadership position in this burgeoning market, we and our shareholders must be fully aware of the impact it could have on our financials in the short-term."
