GM indeed has a major Y2K program underway which will use mostly in-house talent.

Whether they will buy TAVA's CD-ROM database in addition I couldn't tell you.

However, of equal concern to GM, Ford and Chrysler is the Y2K status of their suppliers...many of whom do not have unlimited talent and bucks to throw at the Y2K problem.

Would you want to buy a vehicle missing seats and door handles?

I doubt it.
