Dennis - Goto my post No. 2976 and 2999....After reading it again the time window begins October 29-30. After this period all of former Frankenberg's options must be exercised. Former VP Markman had quite a few options and may have negoatiated a separate deal. Note how these dates do come a few days after the quarter ending period October 26? Any special deals must be filed in the S8 disclosures archived on the Edger system. Perhaps something is in the works....

Anybody knows when the ending quarter period for Compaq and Netscape were? Any deal must be financed with stock....How much available stock and authorized float does Compaq have? Also any step up in a "TV" blitz would make more sense in promoting the "NEW" organization rather than the old.

My vote is for Compaq as mass marketing (like the Intel inside promotion) makes much more sense for a Compaq/Novell company than Novell alone.

Isn't it interesting that Novell's quarter ends two days before the Frankenberger option period expires....Was this planned?
