Technology at NAB Show '98 in Las Vegas


Sun Microsystems, Inc. has selected VisionTech, Ltd. as a strategic developer, enabling the companies to closely collaborate on the development and marketing of a family of MPEG-2 based, digital video products for Sun PCI bus based workstations and servers. The new product family, developed and manufactured by VisionTech, offers broadcast quality encoding solutions at a fraction of the cost of competitor solutions. Sun's customers will benefit, for the first time, from new applications such as digital video editing/authoring, content creation and distance learning. The PCI MPEG-2 encoder will be showcased at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show on April 6-9, 1998, in Las Vegas in Sun's booth (S3428), and VisionTech's booth (M6971). ........
