Well Thread, the DD's have done it again!! Quantum Corp. (QNTM) 20 7/16 +1/4: disk drive maker warns that its fiscal Q4 results will be break-even or slightly positive as revenues are expected to decline sequentially by about 20%; First Call was expecting a net of $0.25 a share vs year-ago net of $0.56 a share; QNTM had revenues of $1.52 bln in Q4..... So funny. Down about 2 on Instanet. AT, Greenie and I were looking at it today when a ton of shares were traded on seemingly good news about products being sold over the net -- yet the stock was up only 3/16. We figured someone was dumping. Well, could the boys at QNTM have leaked the warning to a few of their favorite fund managers? Could they actually have engineered the product announcement to give their buddies some strength into which to sell? Hmmm, I don't know. I do know one thing, though -- I've never owned QNTM, but looking at this episode, I can honestly say I never will.
