I never got the 503 error, which is the preferable response when I am trying to access. But that "not responding" message, started coming with persistence. Now that it's after 6:00pm, it has picked up again.

Kind of wish they had a better degradation strategy for handling overload. Maybe even posting a different colored asterisk next to respond to indicate traffic conditions ahead. For instance, I usually preview my responses, but I am more than willing to forgo that if things are slow. Even willing to have the system automatically forgo that if it would help system speed. But failing that maybe posting a cumulative histogram of traffic load could help people to spread the load. I mean, if I knew that 5 to 6 PM was becoming the highest usage time segment, I could adjust my on-system schedule.

For instance, I could easily cut back to say 15 or 16 hours a day, by maybe taking an hour off at some time in there. :^)

(Well, maybe I could handle it if I broke that into two 1/2 hour segments. An hour all in one chunk might be a little hard.)
