While this is possible there is also another angle. Companies who are heavily traded for no apparent reason are being closely looked at by the SEC.

Perhaps, MDCE was doing a cya routine... ?? In any event it was a very good move on the part of the company and in the best interests of both company and shareholder. I believe this demonstrates responsible action on their part. JMO
