AirTouch Wins Western Washington's Highest Customer Satisfaction Award for Third Straight Year
Three-Point Promotion With Sonic Dale Ellis Begins Tonight
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 1998--For the third year in a row, the J.D. Power Customer Satisfaction Study has rated AirTouch best in overall customer satisfaction among all wireless carriers in Western Washington.

To celebrate the repeat win, AirTouch is teaming up with Seattle SuperSonics' Dale Ellis (No. 9), the leading NBA three point shooter, to donate money to charity. For every three-point shot Ellis makes at remaining regular season home games in KeyArena, AirTouch will donate $133 dollars to Northwest Harvest.

''AirTouch is pleased to support our hometown team and give back to the community at the same time,'' said Joe Dodson, vice president and area general manager for AirTouch in Washington. ''The J. D. Power award brings nationwide recognition of AirTouch's emphasis on customer satisfaction, and we're proud to be honored with this achievement for the third consecutive year.''

According to customers questioned in the J.D. Power survey, the higher ranking for AirTouch in Western Washington is due to strong performance in call quality, coverage, pricing options, billing, customer communications, credibility and fairness and cost of roaming.

The 1997 J.D. Power and Associates Cellular Satisfaction Study is based on interviews with more than 10,000 wireless telephone users in 18 of the top U.S. markets. The Western Washington market includes: Clallam, Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Mason, Pierce, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, Thurston and Whatcom Counties.
