I think you have it pretty well summed up. One further note on rok-in addition to Brooktree, they have acquired Comstream, another San Diego based wireless supplier. Comstream supply all of the hard-to-do chips for DBS, for example, and the Orckit founders once worked (on secondment) for Comstream, so the rok relationship looks pretty solid on a couple of fronts.
These guys have to be the best pure-play xDSL investment around. HDSL (including-2), ADSL, VDSL, ATM switching/concentration, 10/100 ethernet support, and apparently winning in every European trial. I don't know about short-term, but long run this one seems like a keeper to me. |
