JM -

I plan to hold the stock.

I am concerned about the following:

(1) PTIS did not immediately inform us that they had lost $3.0 mil.
of their backlog. They waited till good news then
slipped the fact in.

Conversely, they always tell us about new orders.

(2) I don't want expend the energy to do the research but I believe
some folks on this thread have been duped by Ronald H. Deferrari
with respect as to why he wanted to sell shares.

He real reason is quite evident now. He was sitting on
500,000 shares at $0.77 each.

(3) I think we have lost any reasonable shot at $15.00 for 1998.

This is not because of any Asian type problem or because of
the industry we are in.

It is because of the Stock Option situation.

(4) In total, PTIS can release up to 4.5 mil. options.

There are some regulations.

But 2.8 mil. have already been granted.

Rather than hold PTIS for a long time like I planned,
if I get the opp. to bail out, I will.

But I cannot define what circumstance this will be.

Regards,

John
