Can anyone tell me how to enter shorts on my income tax?? Example stock bot 8-97 and not covered until Feb of 1998. Sold in 97 is on the brokers transactions to your account but you can't give a purchase date because you have not bought back the stock in the same year that you shorted it. Any information will be VERY much appreciated. THANKS Lee Swift
