Jeff, let me see if I understand ... you are saying that you meant 5% of the FORTRAN code is date dependent, NOT 5% of the programs, like you wrote?

Obviously 5% of the programs fits my view of the FORTRAN world (actually less, but why quibble). But 5% of the code does NOT make any sense! Have you ever seen a program where 5% of the lines were date dependent - especially in FORTRAN? That is way too high.

I'm trying to understand what you meant ...
