I see from your name and your profile you like classic Buick's...
You touched a subject dear to my hear. <VBG>

Yes I do like Buick. I own a 70 Stage1 (GSX trim), and a 65 GS cnvt. The Stage1 is optioned with the Stage1 455, 4spd, 2.90 limited-slip...that combination/year (pre-smog) is the fastest 1/4 miler Buick ever made...(not quickest...the 0-60 title belongs to the few GNX). As far as how it relates to Olds, Chevy, Mopar, and Ford...I'll hold comment as to not open up that can of worms.<G>

IMO the Buick Grand National is one of the most under-rated of the muscle cars (past and present). A GNX can still be had in #1 condition (new) for under 30 grand, and if you don't mind a little wear, a strong Grand National can be had for as little as 10-14K. I don't know of a stock 'vette that can touch a tweeked Grand National in staight-line 0-100 performance. Not one. Not bad for a 3/8 litre 6 cylinder....I don't care if it is blown to the extreme. ;-)
