SBC..MERX ...SBC was one of the most active stocks today with 127 big blocks going through. I picked that up mid-morning and intend to hold for a while. CLCX looks bound for a rehabilitative run. APOL was a classic play today with both the point & figure chart and the fundamentals pointing to a clear winner.

MERX reported about 8 cents above expectations and it looks like the run might continue. Having 18 stocks in my watch list this morning helped me.. The first five turned out to be the ones I either entered or watched for most of the day. Oil sector was fine and I decided to keep my 300 shares of SCSWF for whatever will come in the next week or two. They have their earnings report this week so it's a gamble. I could have gotten two points out of the stock today but I opted to remain inside the company.

Let me reiterate that I chose to post my picks in a format that I feel can help you at a glance determine the 'technical and fundamental status' of the stock. I will continue to post in a 'display only' mode since it is a clear that these are the cold hard facts about the company. It will soon be time to study my April watch list in depth. At this point I've gotten some positive posts about some of my April picks. PLAT seemed to be a problem, although the stock was strong today.. I'll watch that for the next 2 weeks.

Posters please follow up your stock picks with BUY recommendations or at least when you are close to buy. I've been getting lots of 'stocks to watch' but no follow-up or even that the poster is indeed buying these stocks or following their daily progress. Any software program will 'spit out' picks but it is your job to take these from the 'drawing board' to actual BUY stage and profit stage. Stand behind your picks. I intend to follow up all my picks with the ones that have turned into BUYS either from my GENERAL STOCK LIST or my EARNINGS PLAY STOCK LIST. Each and every morning I will tell you as best I can what stocks I've bought and what stocks are being closely watched for breakout. Remember a stock watch list is nothing without the commitment and confidence to follow through.
