Tom, The NY Daily News article gave BZ a 4 out of 4 stars. Written by Kenneth Li it starts with:

"Activision hits the bullseye with its newest genre bender. Battlezone blends the best of action and real-time strategy - where you marshall forces around a battlefield - in one exciting package.

It's not an entirely new feature on gaming fronts (Cyclone's Uprising did that last year), but it certainly ups the stakes in the war for gamers hearts, minds and wallets."

Article then goes into the old BZ, how the game is played, etc.

I closes by saying:

"It reminded us of giant robot games like the popular Mech warrior and Heavy Gear, but without the kinks. What's more, Battlezone's graphics are nothing short of stellar, even without 3D acceleration. And the game play is lightning fast. Weapons like the 'thumper" which causes John Woo-style seismic rolls in the ground ahead of you, are fantastic. We've got nothing but good things to say about Battlezone - excpet tha you're going to have a hard time getting back to your life after you boot this one up."

Can't wait to see what Computer Gaming World has to say. Joe C.
