The initial benchmark for the cacheless 266MHz PII versus the K6-233
system you posted is spectacular. The Covington is going to be a flop
for Intel. It is worst than a Pentium. I wonder how much longer Intel must produce the Pentium MMX line to maintain their profit margin. I would venture to say that by year end 50% of their total CPU units sold will be Pentium.
