Ascend is head and shoulders stronger than the other contenders to date. They have a more comprehensive product line in this area and are ramping up a higher volume of new products at exremely aggressive price points. They also claim to have all the Internet Service providers sewed up although this seems to be somewhat of an exaggerated claim. Nonetheless, their Pipeline series of products are doing very well. The only area where they need improvement is in their modem capabilities. Their ISDN side is very strong.
