DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 24, 1998--uniView Technologies Corp.
(NASDAQ:UVEW) has signed a joint development agreement with Lucent Technologies
(NYSE:LU), through its Inferno Network Software Solutions organization, to jointly pursue
business opportunities based on each company's existing technologies.

uniView Technologies will combine its existing end-to-end solutions, its proven hardware,
software products, and new features, with Lucent's telecommunications distributed operating
system and other advanced technologies, including its Inferno Network Operating System.

Under the agreement, the companies will establish a joint management committee to facilitate
the marketing of jointly developed business opportunities for products, systems or services.
