Mohan,

I work at an Army R&D center and to the best of my knowledge all military vehicles (ground, air and sea) are required to have GPS/INS system by the year 2000. I have just started investigating a GPS/INS system for a mine clearing vehicle and have come across big number of units to be ordered. I agree with you that it will not be a common thing in a passenger car for quite some time. What I am not sure about is how much STII will benefit from it. The most talked about names in GPS/INS market are that of Litton, Rockwell, Honeywell and Trimble Navigation. Since, you mentioned you had considered doing your thesis in this area, did you come across any interesting papers or books in this area that you can remommend for me. I am just beginning to work in this field.

I bought CSCO because I really like the company and bought and sold number of times in the last few years. I bought BAY because a good friend of mine joined the company 10 months ago and the things I heard about their products sounded interesting as well as their price was low enough that I thought it will not go down more. I WAS WRONG but I continue to hold it hoping for a rebound in the next two quarters. Thanks for posting your current holdings. I have not owned any of them in the past and do not know too much about it. However, I will look into them.

Where do you think the market is going from here in your view? STII closed at $36.5. Would you reccommend adding any more at this price? I bought my initial lot at $19 and then some more two days ago at $41. Thanks for all the information you provided.

Bunty
