USTMAN Technologies Reports Recent Customer Additions For Its SIR Services for Underground Storage Tanks

Overall Count Now Exceeds 2,300 Customers

LAKEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 24, 1998--USTMAN Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:USTX - news), the leading provider of statistical inventory reconciliation (SIR) services in the United States, Tuesday reported several new and expanded contracts for underground storage tanks.

USTMAN provides SIR services for leak detection and inventory management, and receives a monthly fee for each tank under contract.
''These contract additions, among others, reflect the growing strength and diversity of USTMAN's marketing program throughout the
United States,'' said Dan R. Cook, USTMAN president and CEO.

''We are working to make SIR services available widely to owners of underground storage tanks, particularly as the critical date nears for compliance with the EPA leak detection mandate for underground storage tanks.''

Three new customers include:

Kimbro Oil Co. of Nashville, Tenn., with 400 tanks
Kwik Trip of Lacrosse, Wis., with 700 tanks
Quik Trip of Tulsa, Okla., with 575 tanks

Two existing customers that increased the number of tanks under contract include:

Tosco Marketing of Phoenix added 404 tanks to its previous contract of 3,200 tanks for a total of 3,604 tanks.
Cumberland Farms of Canton, Mass., added 914 tanks to its previous contract of 625 tanks for a total of 1,539 tanks, and is
expected to add another 250 tanks in April 1998.

USTMAN Technologies, with more than 54,000 underground storage tanks under contract with more than 2,300 customers, is the largest
provider of critical information to owners of underground storage tanks through SIR and remote tank monitoring. SIR is a preferred
method of detecting leaks in storage systems and of managing liquid inventory held in storage tanks.

It is fully approved for purposes of compliance with Environmental Protection Agency leak-detection regulations, which cover nearly
every UST in the United States.
