Trading on internet has no penalty on odd lots. But why buy odd lots when round lots is the way market is dealing with. Most beginners love the stock so much that they would buy to the limit of their account; thus odd lot trading. What should raise a question is how odd lots are sold to the customer by the internet brokerage firm. Does the firm sell odd lot, borrowed stock or naked?
