I, for one, truly appreciate the many insightful and intelligent posts yesterday and this morning. Patrick's long post in particular, and the recent post about the need for deep pockets. Earlier posts on how the product could/should be assembled were also very good. Assuming Mr. Jacobs is as knowledgeable as the folks on this thread, we should be in great shape in a few months.
The one negative which should be obvious to all, is the possibility that PYNG only has one product now, and may never have another of comparable value. I haven't heard about any significant ongoing R&D for other items. If F.A.S.T.1 is going to be our road to riches, then it seems to me that it makes even more sense for PYNG to form partnership(s) with some of the big boys. It makes no sense at all for us to try to duplicate channels of distribution and marketing that are already in place, and to do it for just one product. It would be prohibitively expensive and not at all effective. Consider for a minute how many individual hospitals, how many individual county and city EMS units, how many national purchasing departments, and so on have to be contacted and serviced on an ongoing basis. To try to do this with only one product in your catalog simply will not work. George E. |
