QNTM, CS give bad news and the techs rally. Bears write articles in magazines with "contrarian" in the title, yet the consensus has been (up until yesterday, maybe) "stay out of techs". Actually the market itself turns out to be the contrarian. Today networkers are up 6+% across the board after Cabletron lost .04; Quantum comes in with a big surprise and everybody wants to buy the stock again. CPQ,DELL both rising. There was a "rotation" to oil stocks from blue chips scheduled, the $2 jump yesterday precluded anybody getting in before the prices rose, tech stocks get the benefit of the floating cash caught without a place to go. BTW, good luck on your APM. More "bad news is good news" days and it will go to $17, I suppose! Greg
