Dave, There's an 'official' Network Computer Reference Profile, which was started by Oracle, Netscape, IBM, Sun & Apple in May 96. It was a bunch of non-controversial things an NC should include, such as no hard drive, a mouse, keyboard, ability to display HTML & run Java etc etc. It's since morphed into the Network Computer Profile and is being fed through through the Open Group for branding & testing. However, PTSC is using the term (platform) generically for a board that could be the basis for an NC, but it has no intention of selling or building NCs - at least not the last time I spoke to them. It's a way for the company to demonstrate the PSC1000 in an NC environment. Hope this helps. Nick Patience
