I have heard lots of rumors. I don't think anyone except possibly Monsanto would be interested. If DLP begins to sell other 3rd party transgenic seeds (over a certain threshold) then the split of fees goes from 71/29 MTC/DLP to 85/15 MTC/DLP which makes DLP much less interesting for anyone other than MTC. Also, since MTC already gets that split and DLP makes little in terms of NI, I would even doubt the interest by MTC.
