Intel purchases several $B of equipment a year, yet how many semi-equip press releases mention Intel as a customer? I never see any. If a customer wants to keep things quiet about what they're buying, it's probably good policy to do what they want, or they may be an ex-customer.

I say do what it takes to keep your customers(direct or indirect) happy. Vendors that start setting the terms create resentment very quickly and start to lose customers.
