Venkie, he's dreaming up new reasons for believing that Dell will tank. Maybe he should consider this possibility. (I write this with tongue firmly implanted in cheek!) Dell's sales are going to go through the roof. That means that there will be significant delays of up to two months for existing customers. And who are those customers going to go to? You guessed, the Chinese abacus makers! So, Dell will have ramped up production in response to demand it can't meet and given new life to its oldest and most potent nemesis. And now it will have all of those plants with no production! Well, maybe it could start stringing beads. And hey, who knows, slide rules could be making a comeback too.
