As I said, I was merely reporting from the news documentary I saw quite a while back. I don't know your background or your source of information, but anyway I wish to thank you for the information you have shared with me. However, I did read an newspaper account that General Eisenhower did admit Normandy was a very bad choice. But the news presented was such as to suggest as if Normandy was deliberately chosen (not as a ruse/decoy) but as the actual landing spot because it was realized the Germans would not have bothered to prepare for that eventuality. Perhaps it was still possible to nip the invasion in the bud had the Panzers rolled into action on Day 1. Just my humble opinion.
