I called the course as well - talked to a gentleman by the name of Scott. He said that there was no tourney, but there was a foursome playing. I asked who the foursome was, and he stated that it was Jack and Gary Player and their respective partners. No mention of Snead. He mentioned that I should call Lyle Anderson at 602.443.2630. I have yet to get a moment to do so. If anyone can, feel free to call.
