Celeryroot, I enjoyed our little digression, but double entendres aside, I really do think we're chasing our tails here, because we don't have quite enough data. I can think of several conflicting scenarios, all plausible, but all conjectural. Still, it's fun to observe this stuff and try to find useful patterns in the hope they might lead us to signals for our trading systems. Anyone still interested can try to observe the unwinding of the position down the road; possibly find enough clues. Whatever the position is, its opening implies that a sophisticated investor is making a bet that is sizable by my puny standards. It is probably hedged so that the whipsaws can be played as it is unwound. Regards, Tuck
