I have a feeling that GBU may have something to do with PVO halt.
Their quest for acquisitions and hiring Goepel Shields & Partners showed that PVO have run of ideas which could alert Bradstone as to the future expenditures of Peruvian. These days $12mln can go very far and without upset, especially when Peruvian properties have very hard time to warrant continuation of further exploration efforts.
I would think that getting together with very promising property holder in some arrangement (merger)could give a new direction to the company. Peruvian has proven that they are very good at managing their cash account, and next logical step is to make money with this what they already have.
Bradstone is putting a pressure, so mgmt hopes the deal ideally would come from people who run PVO at the moment, shutting Atkinson up. No one really thinks that Bradstone would pay anything above what they pay for Peruvian on the market, two much noise for small prize in this takeover scenario, but they could influence the path where $12M could go. I would doubt any exploration effort.
You maybe right if there will be no Peruvian, it could be something better.
Then again this whole writing could be worthless story about connection between two companies being halted at the same time.
Regards
Robert
