Yah, it's a dilemma, Alex Boy and DadMan. The World is today, truly, in so many ways much more civilized, and yet "seems" in some ways under less "cosmic protection". (I admit I can't and won't explain that.)
Then was a better time, an idyllic time. But it was also a much worse time; something many people (not you) forget. It was dangerous, rude, and fear-filled. At times it bordered on The Chaos of Hate, you might say. It was painful.
And then it would be crystal clear, determined, and polite.
And beautiful.
My friends remember still, how truly scary and bad it was. No, it wasn't the air war over Germany, but it wasn't Bali, either. I hope to focus on the quality and fun of our life now, and til, well, at least Y2K20. Whatever opportunities there are. |
