Sure. Intel did it about November of 1996. I had gotten out of Intel, just briefly, because we were driving to San Diego in October of 1997, to give a computer to our son down there and set it up for him (remember, he's the other kind of surfer). <gg>. You know how some people get cold feet holding stock while on vacation? Happened to me. A month later, Intel announced that 4Q96 would be much better than expectations and we were off to $160+ pre split. I got back in on a dip, so no harm. Later, I found out about shorting against the box, instead of selling, if you're worried short term. That would have been better.
