While I am completely fed up with Datek, and their cavalier attitude towards responding to their clients' concerns, at least I am closing my accounts there.

Do any of you close your accounts and go elsewhere, or is this site used just to rant and rave, while still letting them do to you what you like to do with your spouses, lovers, etc? <G>

THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL STOP THIS BEHAVIOR IS FOR EACH OF YOU TO FILE INDIVIDUAL COMPLAINTS WITH THE NASD. There are rules they have to follow, and it's clear they do not do so. This is what I have done.

As I said in earlier posts, their ability to continue to refuse to respond fully, and to use methods that they can't get two of their employees to understand, yet alone agree on, is directly related to how much trouble and heat put upon them by those in power to get them to reform. I.E, the authorities. Not us, since it's obvious they care little about the vocal minority here at this site. They obviously feel that any loss from here will be made up by the hordes flocking to them for the colors, java apps, and cheap commissions.

When it takes six weeks to get your funds out, and you're still waiting, something is wrong. They can't keep using the excuse of "we're working on it."

Show your displeasure in ways they will notice. Take your money and run, before they take it from you, and file complaints. Those are the only voices they will listen to.

For those who are interested, here is the link you need:

nasdr.com

There you can request a broker's disciplinary record, as well as information on how to file complaints. Please use it.
