Good post ... typically when rumors are flying like crazy about a stock the company has a conference call to straighten out the rumors. would take about 6 pages of clarification if done in a news release Also they state the direction and path of the near future and so forth. Now rumors have a basis to a degree. Some are wishful thinking or taking out of context and so forth in communication witht he company. This is a good way to have multiple ears and logics so the information is accurate and concise. People can correct the rumors and bring a stock and its complied DD back into proper perspective. Generally they have some great news, however, from my experience these calls are mainly clarification. Most of the time it is very helpful to getting the facts straight.
