Hello Dave,

Nice sale on the puts. I'm thinking of doing the same now that the sentiment has changed. What kind of a premium is there for such deep in the money puts?

From the look of things, it'll be a bullish phase from now, and until IMO at least the earnings are out and the numbers can be scrutinized to determine whether or not Dell's growth is slowing down. Interesting to observe over the last few days (a) CPQ turning up from EU giving green light to its purchase of DEC (... paradox.. since short term earnings will be affected) (b) COMS going up despite earnings below expectation (... an eye opener on sentiment reversal) (c) MSFT stating pc market so far not seen slowing down (d) Dell stating that they have not seen any slowdown.

Time for a bullish phase for now. IMO there will still be an opportunity to short the stock sometime this year, only not now. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that Dell's growth is indeed slowing down, the pc business cycle is actually a down turn, while at the same time DOW and NASDAQ go into a correction.
