newbie, I do think that we have plenty of time for a correction during the next month or so before the next round of earnings reports begins. Yeah, 300 or 400 DOW points could in my opinion, easily happen. Actually, I wish it would. But an interesting thought that occurred to me is that it's possible the semis and the semi equipment makers could actually buck such a trend. I am not counting on it but it is possible. The semis are cyclicals and with an economy stronger than some expected lately, there could be some big players coming back into the semis and other cyclicals. Spot memory prices have made an upward move in the last few days according to the San Jose Mercury Times. Could it be that Intel & TI etc. have worked through a lot of their excess inventory and have stopped dumping DRAM on the spot market???? I hope so, even though I don't own DRAM stocks. Have a good weekend, newbie & everyone.
