You are assuming that their IVOD solution is based soley on their PowerPC platform. That is not correct. CCUR is in a position to deliver a video server that is compatable with the specs given from the company whose biz they are in a trial to get. As I posted, CCUR IVOD solution is not soley hardware, the Variable Frame Technology that is derived from the unique nature of Real Time OS is one of the bigesst factors in the low cost. Allows them to use cheaper storage devices and then use another software application to handle retrieving the stored content. These software apps and OS are the real competitive advantage and they can tailor an Pentium based server with off the shelf storage to meet IVOD demands. ONCO has publicly stated that their choice of systems for next generation upgrade and new deployment will be Pentium based. CCUR can go either way, they are flexible and can create a solution inside of tech specs from customer. As TMRENT has pointed out, IVOD technology, just like any other technology will continue to change and evolve. In my opinion, speed of servers may change and faster, larger and cheaper storage devices will be used, but the software solutions will be based on a REAL TIME paradigm and that is CCUR's bread and butter. I think they can role with the punches, especially if they already have an installed base in place. NAB and Cabletech shows will be good place to judge where they stand. My guess is they get some business soon. Doesn't matter if it is in two weeks or 6 months. Potential payoff is big enough to wait.
