I do not understand the import of your remark that netz is under no obligation to use a "big six (or five)" accounting firm to perform its audit. Surely given the monumental judgments and settlements against the major accounting firms arising out of the S&L fiasco, one cannot feel any safer having, say, E&Y doing the audit as compared to "Joe's Accounting". If memory serves me, I believe E&Y settled claims brought against it by the Resolution Trust Corp for a figure in the neighborhood of a mere $800,000,000.00. I suspect "joe" would have done a better job.
