Steve,yes I have lost money on CPQ puts and still own Jan puts.I am not an analyst or director of I/S whatever that is . But I did exstensive reserch on the company and there are a lot of weakness,otherwise I never would have touch the puts,people that are bullish on a company don't do the research or only see the good things about a company IMO.there are a lot of reason for Compaq to drop 20% tommow
.1) demand could dry up and they will be stuck with inventory world wide. 2) Trouble with the supply chain 3) Compitition from home and abroad 4) INTC,MSFT could come out with a negative statement on the industry. 5) custermers could go to another company for product because CPQ can't deliver on time.Thats is why this keep people that hold the stock awake at night . Tech stocks I like are HWP,they are a solid company that you can count on when the going get tough and they are up front with shareholders.They are already the company Compaq could only dream about.BTW why did they lose 4 top executives this year 3 in the last 10 days I can't get any info from the company on that just that "they left for career reasons " ? Since you are an insider can you answer that for me.BTW I do believe you have an inside track by the coments you make about the co. Good trading MP
