Just a few tidbits from the most recent copy of MacWeek:

1) VST Technologies will release in November some additional storage modules for the new Apple Powerbook expansion bay. They include a 1.2 GB hard drive and a 230 MB MO (Fujitsu) drive.

2) A Syquest ad for the EZFlyer refers to the competition's "high-capacity floppies" as "sluggish technologies".

3) Quote from Reviews Forum: "I bought one of the first Pinnacle RCD-1000 CD recorders. The software was a mess. The firmware was worse and its support was worse yet." and "I love the JAZ."

4) MacMall is advertising the SyJet as a "Hot New Product!" for $499.99. Just for kix I called them and was told that they were expecting to get product in on November 15. When I asked if there was a backlog of orders, I was told, "NO, NO".

5) Here's some decent pricing on Iomega products: MacNet is advertising the ZIP for $119, single ZIP disks for $13 and the JAZ for $369 (they didn't specify if it was int. or ext.) However, Mediastore has an external JAZ for $449, Perisys has single JAZ disks for $92 and both Lacie and APS are offering an external JAZ with 3 disks for $599.
