Chad, Occasionally, the MM's really do decide to short a stock, after a run up, if there is a reverse split, or if it has RegS, etc. The remaining one's are usually longs who can't accept that their 'perfect pick', ISN'T perfect, and blame anyone but themselves. Actual short interest on listed stocks comes out monthly. Hope this helps. Fred
