Ken/All,

Had a fellow call me from the Silver institute yesterday. Indicated the following:

- they were likely going to request to Congress to produce a silver millennium coin.

- according to their information, the stock piles in London were drawn down considerably before Buffett put his stash there (this is contrary to many other reports). I suspect this is true because if inventories were high, they would not have had to extended the delivery date - which decreased the lease rate dramatically and took the pressure off of the price.

- He was not sure if the reason Buffett bought, had anything to do with new uses for silver in batteries ... they are awaiting the report (to be published in early April) from the group that made the suggestion in the news a few days ago ... name escaped me at the moment.

- US stock piles are down to ~30 million oz.

- India are again off to the races buying silver - and they do not expect much to make it back to the market from there under 10 bucks.

Also - noticed off-take @ COMEX is up again .. new 18 year low yesterday.

Best to all,

MB
