Stephen,
I have never suggested to anybody that they take my word, and my word alone for information. I regularly forward interested investors to the various people running the deals I work on. In fact, I recommend that they talk to someone other than me.
My postings on Wolf are usually in response to a request for information or a brief blurb in an area where I feel there might be some interest. Anyone who is interested checks out my thread and sees that in more than one place I mention that I am working with the company. I expect that the people who don't want to read about Wolf do exactly what I do when I come across stuff I have no interest in: click on the NEXT button.
As far as disclosing my position, I don't think anybody is privy to anyone else's investing information (except the gov't, of course). I don't even ask my investors what amount of shares they are buying. I don't think it should be expected information. I will tell anyone who asks though, that if I had extra money floating around, I would be buying stock in my company. (Sorry if that comes across like a hook, it's not my intention). Plus, my friends, family and a group of investors that follow me from deal to deal do own a position in Wolf. Again, not a hook, a fact. I'm sorry if you felt I was "Promo-ing" you but I'm sold on the company I'm working for. It's nice to be able to be excited about what you do, and I'll never make excuses for that. Life is too short and we spend far too much time working, not to enjoy it.
Thank you for the information on Newbridge and MIO. Sounds like you've done alot of homework on them. It's always nice to hear that someone escaped a bloodbath. I've experienced a few here and there and they're definitely not enjoyable.
Good luck in your trading.
