Stoli,

The problem with "dead money" assessments like the one you've made regarding CYMI is that investors are trying to predict the future. Particularly in semi equip stocks, people are trying to look out over the horizon and see what will be happening so that they can position themselves ahead of it. Given the overwhelmingly bullish prospects for CYMI over the long run, there is virtually no way to know when investors will get religion and buy into the stock in a big way. Once that begins mo-mo investors start jumping on board and the stock again becomes a star. The fact that more eyes are currently focused elsewhere merely adds more potential as their attention comes to CYMI and they want to buy some.
One other question: why if you think CYMI is dead money would you want to own calls since they are a wasting asset? Owning the stock at least doesn't lose time value.
