Kim Edwards WAS the new Iomega!

I vehemently but respectfully disagree with those who state that KE failed! He DID NOT FAIL! His time and usefulness to the company may well have passed, but he was a major if not the major factor in Iomega's success in the last several years.

In 1994, he signed on to what was a moribund techie company and drove the development of a truly consumer oriented product- the Zip drive. Under his tutelage and marketing, Iomega defined and itself became the definition of high-density removable storage. I have grown quite tired of this phrase, but he probably was responsible for "...the new paradigm in storage..."

This fact may already have been mentioned. I'm sorry, but I haven't taken the time to read all the messages on this board. SI's IOMG/IOM board, like so many others on Iomega, has a tendency to be filled with senseless drivel- versus sensible drivel I guess? :)
