Wasn't it also said that in the early days of Scotland Yard it was an acronym for "File Under Carnal Knowledge"? -- but I've heard that both 'fikken' and 'fokken' were [and to some extent are] common in Plattsdeutsch, depending on which part of Niedersachsen the activity was discussed. A very old word ...... cheers ..... marcos

PS - 'fuquetear' is creeping into Mexican Spanish, much to the disgust of traditionalists.
